In reply to Aida Bautista. Hi Aida, I was inspired by a chapter in a book I read, and decided I needed to get the information out there. In hindsight, it was wrong of me not to reference the work correctly, and I apologise for that. The book is ‘People Skills’ by Robert Bolton. See chapter 2, Barriers to Communication. It’s not a new book, originally printed in 1987 and reprinted many times since, but conversational communication barriers haven’t changed much since. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.

Know exactly how you feel. I get that spam mail all the time. At least with email you can delete. Home delivery is another story. First it has to sit on the table long enough for a sufficient amount to gather before i can delete or aka throw away. Then i have to take out the trash. Then i feel guilt for my contribution to the landfill. And its not even a good early early bday pressie!

@ Geoff I got another invoice from them Melbourne IT a few weeks ago. I once called the Australian Consumers Association but they said they dont do anything unless a number of complaints are received. So deceptive.

The link is 2013 but they are actively scamming in 2015. There are a lot of people paying out as they take it as a renewal notice.

Domain Register operates from Melbourne but is owned by Canberra-based hosting service AussieHQ. It’s on the list above. Owned by Jumba and UberGlobal.

While AussieHQ/Jumba/UberGlobal try to position themselves as a high value providers they still run their sleazebag side service.

Melbourne IT are big time scammers, I have got a domain name renewal notice/invoice from them at the exorbitant price mentioned above, however I have never had a domain name registered through them. I still have the invoice because one day I will drop into their office and rant. Good on you for making all this info available to us. D

Live and let live man, spiders are essential part of the ecosystem. not allowing them in your house or killing them on site will likely lead to other things running amok.
