I once called the Australian Consumers Association but they said they dont do anything unless a number of complaints are received. So deceptive.

A similar scam is run by Domain Register. http://www.netregistry.com.au/support/warning-domain-registration-scam-from-domain-register-pty-ltd-april-2013/

The link is 2013 but they are actively scamming in 2015. There are a lot of people paying out as they take it as a renewal notice.

Domain Register operates from Melbourne but is owned by Canberra-based hosting service AussieHQ. It’s on the list above. Owned by Jumba and UberGlobal.

While AussieHQ/Jumba/UberGlobal try to position themselves as a high value providers they still run their sleazebag side service.

I still have the invoice because one day I will drop into their office and rant. Good on you for making all this info available to us. D
